In honor of its 30th anniversary, PLATO is hosting a year-long initiative to explore one enduring question: “What are the purposes of education?” Join us at this free community event where we’ll read an excerpt from Hannah Arendt’s “The Crisis in Education” alongside Toni Morrison’s picture book The Big Box to examine fundamental questions about education and what it means for adults to introduce young people to a shared world.
Registered participants will receive the reading in advance.
Anyone under 18 to be accompanied by an adult.
